History

The Coughlin Funeral Home was founded over 90 years ago by J. Charles Alpaugh and his son-in-law Daniel J. Coughlin.

Daniel J. Coughlin carried on the tradition with his son Daniel A. Coughlin After the Death of J. Charles Alpaugh in 1933.

The Coughlin Funeral Home was established in its present location of Califon, New Jersey in 1925 and was sold to C. Gary Deckhut in 1969 who continues to serve as owner and manager.
