Marietta N. Jones 88 of Chester Township, NJ died Wed. Dec. 2, 2009 at her home.  She was born in Long Valley, NJ on Aug. 3, 1921 the daughter of the late Samuel and Mamie

Schuyler Nunn and lived in Long Valley and Peapack before moving to Chester 55 years

ago.  She was a homemaker and volunteered at Somerset Medical Center.  Marietta

enjoyed nature, gardening, antiques, and her pets.  Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, many crafts, and caning. Her husband Robert L. Jones was a WWII veteran who died in 1982. Survivors include a son Robert L. Jones Jr. and wife Diane in PA, a son David N. Jones and wife Susan of Long Valley, NJ and a daughter Penny Higgins and husband John of Stanhope, NJ, daughter-in-law Dorothy of PA;  ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A son Mark C. Jones died earlier. Calling hours are on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 from 2-4pm at the Coughlin Funeral Home, 15 Academy Street, Califon followed by a funeral service at 4pm. Cremation will be private.  Memorial donations may be sent to St. Hubert’s Animal Shelter, 575 Woodland Ave. Madison, NJ, 07940.
