| William F. Apgar William F. Apgar, 95, of Lebanon Twp., NJ died on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at the Stone ArchCare Center in Union Twp., NJ. He was born in Lebanon Twp, NJ on July 22, 1914 a son ofThe late William and Anna Kearns Apgar and was a life-long resident of the township. He wasEmployed by the NJ Department of Transportation in Clinton, NJ as a heavy equipment operatorMr Apgar was also employed by the Red Mill in Clinton, NJ where he built a log cabin. At one Time he was he was a policeman and at the time the only one in Lebanon Twp. He also served As a constable and dog warden . He formerly worked as a chauffer for Celeste Holm’sFather. During WWII he served in the Army with the rank PFC with Company K, 41st Regiment39th Battalion in the New Guinea Theater. He was a member of the American Legion Post 164,Hackettstown, NJ and VFW Post #5119, Glen Gardner, NJ.He was a member of the Spruce Run Lutheran Church where he served as Council President and Property Committee Chairman.Survivors include a daughter Sara Armbrecht and husband George of Washington NJ, a grandson Gene William Armbrecht, a sister Dorothy Cawley of Raritan Twp, NJ, He was pre-deceased byTwo brothers, Walter and Stewart Apgar, and a sister Etta Apgar. Funeral Services will be held at the church, 442 W. Hill Road, Lebanon Twp.on MondayNov. 16, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in the Spruce Run Cemetery.
